Purse Easel Card featuring Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers

This beautiful Purse Easel Card, featuring Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers (DSP), was shown to me by a very dear customer who spent some time in Tasmania and purchased a similar card.  So to the lady in Tasmania who made the inspiring card, who ever you are, thank you - it is gorgeous.

I designed a template based on this card, slightly different dimensions and very different dressing, but a stunning card all the same.

The card is made in two pieces - the front and handle is one piece, the base, back and flap the other piece.  It is the layering under the greeting, that provides a stop and keeps the face/front of the card in place.
DSP is from SAB 2013
A front on view so you can see the shape - the inside curve is punched out with Stampin' Up! 2 1/2" circle punch - was so much easier than trying to cut that out.
DSP is from Eastern Elegance 130131
There is a slit where the back moves into the flap of the purse, for the handle to slot through.
DSP is from Gingham Garden 129130
This beautiful bag was the creation of Heather Payne - Love it...

This card uses 1 x 12x12" sheets of card stock and 1 x 12x12" sheet of Designer Series Paper.  It is wonderful to see different styles of cards and I absolutely love this one.

Happy creating
Love
