Stampin' Up! Tag Cards

I've been having a little play with tags on cards and embellishing these tags with Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP), embossing folders, ribbons, stamps and dies... First a rose ( Stampin' Up! Rose Garden thinlit dies) in neutral colours of Crumb Cake and Early Expresso...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Tag Cards

The card is simply the base card with a 2" strip of coordinating DSP with a dressed tag mounted onto the base card and the greeting placed...somewhere!  This one has a little more colour and a butterfly (Butterflies thinlit dies) die cut out of Calypso Coral Stampin' Up! cardstock.  A bit of sponging on the tag edges and this one is my favourite of all the creations today.

Calypso Coral and Old Olive - gorgeous colour combo...

Blues, Greens and Oranges with black accents...and of course that butterfly!

I love versatile layouts and what a great way to use up any 2" strips of  DSP you may have left over from other projects and the little snippets to embellish the tags.  Quick, easy layout and very rewarding.

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches in White

Value for money is what you get when you purchase the "Thoughtful Branches" bundle by Stampin' Up! and if you have loved many of the creations of this month then please contact me so that I can get this awesome set in your hands.  Today is a simple post demonstrating the set in white with a splash of Bermuda Bay...cased from pinterest & Mandy Lappe!
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches

I really love this layout- Christmas, Anniversary or a classic Birthday...
I created the card by choosing a Whisper White base and cut an extra piece of Whisper White 12cm x 9cm and embossed it with Stampin' Up! Textured Impressions "Sea Side" embossing folder.  I attached this to the card base leaving a larger space at the base of the card so I could stamp my sentiment.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches

I got a scrap of silver from my off cuts bag and adhered it to the card, and then adhered a piece of Bermuda Bay twine with glue dots.  I then die cut the tree from the August only set "Thoughtful Branches" and mounted it on the card with Dimensionals and added the sequence with Stampin' Up! Fine tip glue pen.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches

This card was created in a similar manner but this time I embossed the base card stock and added a silvery moon and tied the Bermuda Bay with a bow of Bermuda Bay...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches
And Mary created this card for a friend with Melon Mambo highlights, combining ideas from both cards....
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches

I have that pink colour cast again on my photos but this was created in Whisper White...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches
If I were to recreate this for Christmas, I would use red twine... I think that would be soooooo nice, with the red Christmas greeting.  I just love this layout, love this card!.

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches Reverse Masking

Welcome, thanks for stopping by.  Today I wanted to show case a favourite layout of mine that involves reverse masking using the fantastic versatile set, "Thoughtful Branches" x Stampin' Up!  The layout can be used for any occasion, sympathy, Christmas, male birthday, female birthday (done in pinks with flowers) thank you, gee lots and lots of ideas running through my head ;-)
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches
To create the card, choose a base card and cut a piece of Whisper White 1/4 in smaller in width and height.  On a scrap of  cardstock - a similar size as the Whisper White above cut out the window you want to have as the sponged area.  You can use a circle, oval, square, anything - I used "Lots of Labels" framelits x Stampin' Up!  Place your mask over the Whisper White card stock and with a sponge loaded with ink, work the sponge over the window.  to get your desired background effect.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches
Once the sponging is completed choose the stamps for the background and stamp these over your mask.  I used Old Olive to sponge the background and the group of three naked trees inked in Old Olive.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches
Remove the mask and choose the foreground feature - I chose the individual tree from "Thoughtful Branches" and dressed it.  Jan created hers in Marina Mist...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches
Stamp your greeting in a coordinating colour and then to add a little Christmas touch - we embossed the card in "Softly Falling" Embossing folder.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches
I saw a similar card on pinterest x Sue Vine, so thanks Sue for re-igniting my love of this layout.  Reverse marking is lots of fun and very effective - love the dimension it adds to a card.  If I can help you with any of your Stampin' Up! needs, please call, e-mail or SMS me.  I'd love to help you.

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches Hyacinth

This flower reminds me of our dear Japanese friends and a photo they sent us with Hyacinths, so this blog is in memory of the great friendship we developed over the year.  The set I'm using is believe it or not the same "Thoughtful Branches" set x Stampin' Up! and the layout is cased from pinterest - Marcy Denning.  The first was created in Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Smokey Slate.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches
The cards were created on Whisper White card bases with an embossed coordinating piece of cardstock cut 1/4 inch smaller than the base card. I stamped on Whisper White in colours that coordinated with the mat I wanted to place beneath the stamped piece of Whisper White. The two pieces of cardstock were of similar size (I used scraps out of my scrap bin)
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches
After stamping, I toss layered the two pieces of card and sat these on 1/3 of a doily.  All of these layers were glued down with Sticky Strip.  This was created in Wisteria Wonder and Garden Green.

The ladies in class created this one...

I had to try the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing folder x Stampin' Up! as a background...
