2014 Christmas Stampin' Up! Partridge and Pears

This is the second post for Partridge and Pears (WM133854 / CM133857), makes me sing the song every time I use the stamp LOL  This post is using the stamp set on a Whisper White background.  The tree is stamped in Momento Tuxedo black, coloured with Stampin' Up! Blendabilities and mounted (using dimensionals/foam dots) on an embossed background.  In this case Filagree Frame 135818.  Gold Glitz was them used to highlight the fruit buds...

This tree was not fussy cut as per above, the square was mounted on Old Olive cardstock with minimal framing.  This was then mounted on Whisper White which was embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder 127821

2014 Christmas Stampin' Up! Joyful Christmas

Case - Copy And Share Everything and that is why one should purchase the Stampin' Up! catalogues.  Today's project is cased from an old Stampin' up! holiday catalogue and focuses on the retired Stampin' Up! Christmas set "Joyful Christmas" a poinsettia with greetings.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Joyful Christmas
Instructions
The cards are a square, the backing card, created out of Cherry Cobbler textured cardstock (now retired).
I embossed the poinsettia in embossing powder - pewter for the above example, on cherry cobbler card stock and then I cut out the image.
For this example I the used some watered down shimmer paint to add dimension to the centre petals.
The poinsettia is then adhered with dimensionals to a piece of embossed Whisper White, which was lightly sponged in a coordinating colour - the above example in Old Olive.
This assembly was then adhered to the cherry cobbler backing card with sticky strip.
The greetings were then added, the "merry" being a wafer thin die, run through the Big Shot machine and the "Christmas" a stamp.
The centre can be dressed with a button, embellishment of your choice, pearls or rhinestones...

Variations of this include using different embossing folders and colouring the pearls...

The gold leaves are the excess from the Y when the die punched out "Merry"...

Another combination, the powder embossing is done in gold...

Rhinestones and gold embossing powder were the features of these and I popped the centre petals with dimensionals to add dimension...

Oh how I love this set, even now.....

2014 Christmas Stampin' Up! Endless Wishes

The effect of sponging over torn paper is not only a very effective technique but versatile for all occasions including Christmas cards,  Today's Christmas card is simply snow flakes peeping out of a coloured strip - reminds me of when you look through a window and you wipe your hand across to see outside....anyway one of my dreams is to have a white Christmas with Ben and a couple of special friends and this card takes me there.
A Crafty Cat: Endless Wishes Christmas Cards in Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise
Instructions
The sponged strip created by tearing two pieces of paper and masking the top and bottom of the card (Whisper White) and sponging over it with a coordinating ink.
I then stamped various sized snowflakes from the Endless Wishes Stamp set by Stampin' Up!, in Grey over the mask and sponging.
I then removed the mask and stamped in the coordinating ink the greeting and then the snow flakes, but around the sponging.
The card is then adhered to coordinating card stock.
If you wish you can dress up the card by adding a little bling with extra matting, Rhinestones (that can be coloured with Blendabilities or  any alcohol marker) or Dazzling details.

To make these more economically this can easily be a one layer card...they are very stunning...

This layout can be recreated in any colour combination and the flakes could even be embossed if you had the time - how stunning would that look!  Thank you for stopping by, it was lovely to have your company.

2014 Christmas Stampin' Up! Bright and Beautiful, Christmas Tree Ornaments

This post features another  project for your Christmas Tree, a stamped paper star using Stampin' Up! Bright and Beautiful...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Bright and Beautiful Christmas tree paper ornaments
The ornaments were created by cutting out 2 x large stars in coordinating Stampin' Up! cardstock. Stamp and cut out 2 of each of the largest and middle sized stars from Stampin' Up! "Bright and Beautiful." Layer the stars on the cardstock as shown in the picture using dimensionals/pop dots for at least one layer. embellish centre as desired. Adhere the two assemblies back to back ensuring you secure the string well, formed in a loop, with Sticky Strip.

These are a very nice addition to any tree and note that you can add glimmer paper - that would be a very lovely touch.  Thank you for dropping by and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

2014 Christmas Stampin' Up! Visions of Santa in an Easel

Visions of Santa by Stampin' Up! is so much fun and I just had to make an easel card with him dancing along it...

A Crafty Cat: Stamin' Up! Visions of Santa
Ben of course loves it - makes him laugh...

A Crafty Cat: Stamin' Up! Visions of Santa
Santa is stamped along a strip of Whisper White, in Momento Tuxedo Black and coloured the images with Stampin' Up! Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities.  The top is punched with Stampin' Up! confetti star punch, the bottom embossed with the snow flake looking embossing folder from Stampin' Up! Delicate Designs Item # 127023.  I then stuck this to the base card stock which was cut 1/4 inch larger (both sides) than the whisper white.  For instructions on how to construct an easel card, please watch this video presented by Elainescreations.

This dancing Santa is so much fun, I just cannot put the set down.  Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you tomorrow.
