Card in a Box with Stampin' Up!

Like explosion cards? Then you will like the 'Card in a Box'.  This is the latest craze in card folds and I just had to try one using Stampin' Up! "Flower Shop" with "Petite Petals".  Click HERE for the link to a wonderful video, showing you how to make them.

I used Old Olive card stock and the new Watercolour DSP for the basic box.  I then decorated the box using Petite Petals (WM133152 / CM133155), Flower Shop (WM130939 / CM130942) and Papillion Potpourri (WM132058 / CM123759) with coordinating colours - Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral.  I employed the rock and roll technique and some blending using a blender pen or piece of frayed card to add to the effect of the flower centre.  The leaves are from the Bird builder punch and I have added lots of Rhinestones.

I am so happy with how it turned out and love the little double layered Island Indigo butterfly.

A nice close up so you can see I shaped the flowers, used lots of Rhinestones and you can see the detail in the blending.

The back of the card features a coordinating colour card - Wild Wisabi with Rhinestones, the beautiful Calypso Coral ruffle ribbon AND the stamp from Label Something WM130595 / CM130598 which has a coordinating punch; Artisan Label - Love punches.
This is a great card to create using scraps.  I cut two boxes from  a 12x12 and used scrap pieces for the decorating and the mounting bars in the box.

This is a creation by one of my dear customers Heather - love it Heather.

Heather used Old Olive with Perfect Plumb and Cherry Cobbler with a highlight of Rich Razzleberry.
Stamp sets used include Flower Shop, Petite Petals and Betsy's Blossoms
