2014 Catalogue Launch - Swing Card 4

Stampin' Up! Swing card thinlit dies have been so very popular.  Now we are punching out the centre and featuring a hanging piece...flowers, butterflies, hearts, Christmas trees... the sky is the limit.

These are examples I created to showcase the versatility of what can be a centre piece.

Decorated in Stampin' Up! DSP, The scallop flower is the centre point for this birthday card.
A closer look shows the layering of the 2014-15 in-colours in the flower piece, and the structure.
The flower is simply created by layering the different colours of the scallop circle punched out card stock...

The colours used in this creation include Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist and Pink Pirouette.
I then test the waters for Christmas and combined Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon to make a lovely 3D Christmas tree, which is comprised of four (4) punched out triangles...
The Stampin' Up! DSP is mounted on Smokey Slate.
The tree was made using the Stampin' Up! punch Petite Pennants Builder 122361...

Christmas Card 12

Stampin up have many fantastic products and the stamp set Pennant Parade (W125012 / 122742) is one of those.  It is so versatile in that it can be used in banners, flags and of course Christmas Trees.  I made this card last year, to demonstrate when you cannot choose between the punch (Petite Pennants Builder 112361) and stamp set, one should probably purchase the punch first because it can be decorated with anything, in this case Dasher's (retired ) antlers and the tree from Contempo Christmas (retired).  This is a very simple layout but stunning...

The base card stock (also used on the trees) is Lucky Limade, dressed with Confetti Cream spritzed with gold smooch and embossed with Embossing Folder Vintage Wall Paper (120175).  The bottom panel is poppy parade - a lovely contrast to the cream and green I thought.  The wonderful verse is from the Contempo Christmas Stamp Set.  The trees are topped with SU Rhinestones.
From a different angle so you can see I've set the trees and greeting up on Stampin' Up! Dimensionals...

The trees can be replaced with trees from the Scentsational Season or Ornament Keepsakes Set with corresponding framelit dies, or images from the Delightful Decorations (W121502 / C127787)with the coordinating Ornament Punch (119847) could easily be used and decorated instead of my simple trees.

To date I have now posted 12 cards for Christmas, but wait there are more.  Thanks to Rachael photographing and preparing the many images of cards I have made over the past couple of years, you do get to enjoy and be inspired by more ideas.

Keep posted and I will catch you tomorrow.
