- If your clay is sticky, roll into palm size balls and sit for 5 minutes before using.
- Roll out on silicon mat and use acrylic blocks to flatten out shape
- It may help to dust down work area with anti static pillow to prevent clay sticking to surfaces.
- Continually turn clay from side to side/over and over, so that you work both sides and minimise sticking, when pressing out with acrylic block
- Once the shape you desire is obtained, leave sit for a few minutes again to let it cure a little more.
- When stamping, some say dust stamp with anti static pillow, but if left long enough to dry the stickiness out, the stamp will not stick.
- When stamping use with even pressure and press only enough to produce an imprint. Press too firmly and the stamp will stick.
- Layers do stick on one another if added before clay is dry and remember to add your hole within in the first hour of drying, I found the embossing too the most useful /successful.
- Have fun with it and don't get upset when you re roll your project because the stamping went horribly wrong LOL, something better will come and this definitely took me some practice.
