Stampin' Up! Masking with Remarkable You

Stampin' Up! have near a dozen background stamps and I LOVE them.  This week our class focused on the  practicing the technique of masking a focal image and then stamping a Stampin' Up! background image over the masked stamps to create these beautiful cards using Remarkable you.

2015 Christmas - Stampin' Up! Embellished Ornaments

I am loving the Stampin' Up! set of Embellished Ornaments and here is another reason why.  Today I am showcasing the rock and roll technique with clear powder embossing.  This is one of my many creations...

This bauble was inked in Versamark, then Tempting Turquoise and rocked in Pacific Point.  I then stamped the image on Whisper White Cardstock and covered it in clear embossing powder.  The excess was tapped of and the image heated to melt the powder.  This is the result...

From a background of Mistelle toe to a background from the set "You've Got This" I demonstrated emboss resist where I embossed in White powder and sponged in Tempting Turquoise to colour the Whisper White card stock beneath.

The card features a bauble in rock and roll and an emboss resist bauble to demonstrate the difference in image presentation. Check out Anna K's You Tube video to see how it is done HERE

I love the different effects of inking the stamp and presenting the positive and negative - who knew this could be so easy!

2015 Christmas - Stampin' Up! Embellished Ornaments

Stampin' Up! Embellished Ornaments is an awesome set and is complemented with the Delicate Ornament Thinlits dies.  This layout is CASEd from the holiday catalogue and I sooo love it...this blog starts with my creations, to inspire the girls attending my class.  I demonstrated stamping off - for the background, rock and roll on the bauble, and use of the blender pen to shade the leaves...

The assembly is very easy,
on Whisper White stamp the background in a colour of your choice noting to stamp off first - ie stamp the stamp on scrap and then stamp on your Whisper White
stamp the leaves (Embellished Elements) in Old Olive and colour with a blender pen
rock and roll your bauble in two colours either light and dark or two contrasting colours
you can then high light with pearls and add red berries to the mistelle toe with red glitter.

From blues to Real Red and Old Olive - I used the Delicate Ornament thinlits die to cut out the intricate ornament and backed it in Tip Top Taupe...

I love this idea of placing the mistelle toe in a line and hanging the clear powder embossed bauble from it...

I inked the bauble in Real Red and rocked the stamp in Cherry Cobbler, then clear embossed it...love, love, love it...

Stampin' Up! You've Got This

"You've Got This" is a flower and awesome linen rag background stamp set by Stampin' Up!  It is a set I featured in my Stampin Up! 2015/16 catalogue launch and yes, I love it. These are some of the creations of the attendees... Simple one layer, stunning on white card I love these colours combinations by Mary.

For the more experienced this was the card of choice and I just love the combination of brown and pink - in this case early expresso, soft sued and blushing bride...

Blue (night of Navy), gold and white is a stunning background to showcase this flower, water coloured in melon mambo with a daffodil delight centre.

Calypso Coral also is stunning with Chocolate chip and Crumbcake...
Acraftycat: You've got this x Stampin' Up!
I am sorry this photo is not true to colour, but I wanted to show you the water colour effect the attendees created using a marker scribbled on window sheet, which is then picked up with a aqua pen and painted onto a prestamped image (in stayzon) on Stampin' Up! water colour paper...

We had a lovely day and it was fun to see how each person used the stamp set, accessories and colours to create their own card.  Thank you ladies for a lovely day.
