Stampin' Up! Christmas in July - Diamond fold card

For our Christmas in July celebration, I chose a diamond card fold - one of my favourites as it has a bit of pop and the lovely diamond shape as the centre piece, for our detailed card creation.

You can make them in any size but these were a 4" x 12" strip of cardstock scored at 2", 4", 8", 10" holding the card landscape.  A diagonal score is then made from the centre edge to each the 2" score and 10" score, top and bottom so that it looks like this...

I dressed the side panels with DSP and the centre with a mat of coordinating cardstock and DSP on top.  I then added the layered stockings and holly, along with a loop of ribbon on the main stocking...

Stampin' Up! Wetlands masculine cards

This is a gorgeous layout for a masculine card, one I have cased off pinterest thanks to Amanda Bates.  I recreated the card in two colours, Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake and Pool Party.  I used Stampin' Up! rubber set Wetlands, (available in CM and WM) a wonderful little set with birds, reeds and scripted greetings.

I love the use of Designers Series Paper from the Serene Scenery paper stack by Stampin' Up! which  I stamped when it was on the base card.  I then matted the DSP and embossed it with the Seaside embossing folder using the Big Shot.

I created one matted on Night of Navy on a base card of Pool Party and the other is matted on Early Expresso on a base card of Crumb Cake.  I lined up the stamping so I maintained the continuation of the stamping...

Hi, thanks for stopping by! Stampin' Up! Rose Garden Thinlit Die - Mask

Rose Garden Thinlits Dies have been a great love in my classes over the last month.  The die has be used in conjunction with its negative and as a mask.  Today's post demonstrates what can be created with the mask after it has been used...

 This mask was used to create a card with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Marina Mist and Old Olive - you can see all of these colours in small misty splatters on the mask - so I complemented each of the colours with contrasting Black Berry Bliss backing, Perfect Plum half mounted on Pumpkin Pie.  The sentiment stamped on Crushed Curry a rich yellow to pick up the Rose centre...

2015 Christmas - Stampin' Up! Santa Punch Art Gift Tags

I'm getting into creating gift tags simply because they are so cute and a purrrfect finishing touch to any gift.  This year I made these Santa gift tags using Stampin' Up! punches and I followed the directions of Mikaela Titheridge.

Santa's hatflower from Boho Punch (retired) - Whisper White for pom pom
Petite Pennants Builder - Real Red card stock for the hat body
Petite Pennants Builder - Silver Glimmer/Diamonds Glimmer paper (part punch for the rim)

I added a splash of Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (141897) to make the pom pom sparkle.

Large Oval - Blushing Bride (face)
Large circle from Owl Builder Punch - Blushing Bride (nose)
2 Medium Circles from Owl Builder Punch - Black (eyes)
I drew on the mouth with a Stampin' Up! marker; blushing bride to match the face...
I sponged the cheeks with Melon Mambo to add dimension
I used a white gel pen to add a highlight to the eyes and nose to give the appearance of shine and add life to the little faces...

 and I used a little Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (141897) to make the beard sparkle.

Oh what fun it was to see the little faces come together and come to life... I mounted the cute Santa faces on a Garden Green tag created by using the Ornate Tag Topper punch (137416).  The tag was embossed with Gently Falling and the greeting was stamped from the set Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The assembled gift cards were given to my customers in their December orders. They are soooooo purrrfectly cute, thank you Mikaela for a great visual tutorial.
