Stampin' Up! Dasher 121592, is one of my favourite Christmas stamps as I have mentioned before.  I have also mentioned that I love chalking - put the two together and you get...


On Whisper White cardstock, Dasher is stamped in Cherry Cobbler, and Lovely as a Tree 116388 is stamped in Old Olive as is the greeting 115930 Many Merry Messages. 

I've added a little bling with some Dazzling Diamonds, I think you can just see it on the antlers and I've put green glitter on the trees.

To give the card a lift, I've put the layout on Garden Green, It smartens the card up and lifts the layout

This is a very simple card using a fellow demonstrator's layout Dasher and Rollergraphs as the accent along the bottom length of the card.  

Different rollergraphs (124090 Starburst) give stunning variations to the card.

Another quick easy favourite is stamping Dasher on an ink pad drag...


How simple is this but I think it makes a lovely Christmas card.  The base card is Lucky Limade as is the ink pad drag. Dasher is stamped in Chocolate Chip as is the greeting which is from the retired set Christmas Greetings 121492

Christmas Card 12

Stampin up have many fantastic products and the stamp set Pennant Parade (W125012 / 122742) is one of those.  It is so versatile in that it can be used in banners, flags and of course Christmas Trees.  I made this card last year, to demonstrate when you cannot choose between the punch (Petite Pennants Builder 112361) and stamp set, one should probably purchase the punch first because it can be decorated with anything, in this case Dasher's (retired ) antlers and the tree from Contempo Christmas (retired).  This is a very simple layout but stunning...


The base card stock (also used on the trees) is Lucky Limade, dressed with Confetti Cream spritzed with gold smooch and embossed with Embossing Folder Vintage Wall Paper (120175).  The bottom panel is poppy parade - a lovely contrast to the cream and green I thought.  The wonderful verse is from the Contempo Christmas Stamp Set.  The trees are topped with SU Rhinestones.

The trees can be replaced with trees from the Scentsational Season or Ornament Keepsakes Set with corresponding framelit dies, or images from the Delightful Decorations (W121502 / C127787)with the coordinating Ornament Punch (119847) could easily be used and decorated instead of my simple trees.

To date I have now posted 12 cards for Christmas, but wait there are more.  Thanks to Rachael photographing and preparing the many images of cards I have made over the past couple of years, you do get to enjoy and be inspired by more ideas.

Materials :- 

Whisper white card stock, Ink pad and stamp set

Method:-

Step 1 Open ink pad

Step 2 Drag ink pad over paper in one flowing motion

Step 3 Stamp or Powder Emboss image of your choice on background

Step 4 Cut card stock to size and assemble project.

You may need to practice a couple of times before you do it on your card because each time you stop or slow your motion, you get a line (as you can see on the card above).  This is a nice background and so quick and easy to achieve.

Stampin' spots are effective too.  I used a garden green spot randomly stamped to create this background...

Stampin' Up! Button Buddies is a darling set that contains this very cute snail which co-ordinates purrrfectly with Stampin' Up! buttons.  I love this card, my son does too.  So have a play using your ink pads and let me know how you go.

2011 Christmas

It is Christmas and this means purchasing or making presents and making beautiful cards.  I have over 150 on my card list and the majority of them receive hand made Christmas cards, so below are examples of the cards I will be sending out this year - nice and simple but elegant !  These are also the cards I will be demonstrating at my Christmas card workshop.  Let me know what you think!

Stitched Stockings on Garden Green or Poppy Parande with a bit of supernova glitter for a little bling on various dry embossed backgrounds

Poppy Parade and Lucky Limade (the 2011-13 In colours) are gorgeous together with stamp set Contempo Christmas - a great value for money Christmas set.

Same idea here but I've turned the Baroque Motifs stamp around and used a different bauble from Dellightful Decorations.

Dasher is one of my favourite stamp sets and is amazing versatile for Christmas cards.

Dasher - one of my favourite stamps.  Choc Chip stamping and matting on Garden Green.  You can use any Christmay roller including the retired so swirley or current sparkle & shine or sassy sparkles (above) or even Starburst...and don't forget to put diamonds on Dasher's antlers

This is stunning - and really simple.  Dasher stamped in cherry cobbler, next to Lovely as a tree, stamped through a circular window and then chalked gently to give subtle colour.
