Boys Lego Birthday Card

Cards for boys are not always easy to create however if they love LEGO, then the door opens to all possibilities and today's post showcases two ideas for you.  Heather created this gorgeous card for her grandson...
A Crafty Cat: Lego Card

Heather layered the lego as if it was tossed on the card - so love it!

My creation is structured to show you two effects, similar colours - just in lines...

The blocks were 3x1.5cm, 3x3cm, 3x4.5cm and 3x6cm and this card was made for a gorgeous little boy called Jack.

I raised the Lego lugs with glue dots...and the Lego pieces with Dimensionals and highlighted a shine spot with a Stampin' Up! white gel pen.

Stampin' Up! Traveler & World Map - Macsuline Birthday card

Happy Birthday Dad! Male cards can be a challenge but if you own the Traveler WM134510/CM134513 stamp set released by Stampin' Up! then you are pretty well covered.  Coupled with the World Map WM130342/CM130345 background stamp, the two complement each other purrrfectly.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! "Traveler"
I used chocolate chip to stamp and distress with, the gold washi tape (watercolour wonder 133000) is more of an antique colour and works purrrfectly with the gold twine 132976.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! "Traveler"
I fussy cut the globe out and lifted it over the twine and washi tape with Dimensionals...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! "Traveler"
I knotted the twine around it self to add a little more male character...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! "Traveler"
The greeting is from the must have word stamp set "And Many More" WM134273/CM134276.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Traveler
So with a bit of layering, some washi tape and string, and a couple of vintage, masculine stamp sets, you too can create a very nice masculine card.  If you would like any of the products used; WM is the means Wood Mount, then the code is listed with which to purchase the products from my online store. CM is the Clear block Mount then code.
