Remarkable You, by Stampin' Up! is one of my staple sets as it has outline flowers and a branched leaf.  It can be used demonstrating so many techniques and for used for so many occasions. Today's post focuses on Powder embossing in White on Velum and colouring the reverse side with coordinating Stampin' Up! markers...

Stampin' Up! Emboss Resist & Brayering

Stampin' Up! have foam brayers (141714) in the 2017-18 annual catalogue and they are soooo much fun!  I coupled this with the Colour Me: Irresistibly Floral Specialty DSP (Designer Series Paper) in the Sale-a-bration brochure to simply demonstrate the brayering technique.

The Irresistibly Floral paper is Whisper White card stock that is pre-embossed clear, so the paper appears white with a glossy pattern.... gorgeous... and then can can brayer over it in any desired colour to reveal the pattern...

Simply ink your brayer up by running the foam roller over and over an ink pad and then roll your brayer over the paper....

Brayering can change the look of a card, enhancing colour depth when added to card stock or can reveal a beautifully embossed pattern that you've created or Stampin' Up! has created.  When coupled with coordinating paper and ribbon or other embellishments, the combination is nothing short of stunning...

Stampin' Up! Detailed Dragonfly

Stampin' Up! In colours are trendy, in fashion and five change each year.  To show case the five 2016-18 colours for catalogue launch, I decided to employ four die sets - the Detailed Dragonfly (142749), the Stitched Shapes (145372), Laying Squares (141708)  and Flourish Thinlits (141478) for the leaf.

By mounting one colour on top of another and slightly offsetting the two, the die cuts really pop!

Stampin' Up! Special Reason catalogue CASE

Special Reason is a lovely stamp and die set released by Stampin' Up! and is great to use with the rock and Roll technique.   I CASED the layout on the bag for their class project...

On a base of Always Artichoke embossed with Seaside (141481) TIEF, the layer of rock and roll stamped flowers and die cut flowers and leaves were assembled on a Banner cut piece of So Saffron embossed with Hexagons Dynamic (143231) TIEF.

 Caujan Craze, love this colour as a card base and instead of  embossing the card base, I sponged it in Old Olive.  The banner was still embossed and the Stamped flowers and leaves were created using the Rock and Roll technique...

Stampin' Up! create a beautiful catalogue and ideas book.  It has always contained many layouts that can be transferred from boxes to cards to scrapbook pages as vice versa.  I love my catalogues and refer to them for ideas constantly.
