Stampin' Up! Window Box Cards 2

Stampin' Up! Window box framelits (142762)  are not only for creating lovely hexagonal boxes but you can also create stunning stylish KISS (Keep It Simple Sweetheart) cards in a set!  This post is a simple one layer Whisper White card with a mounted die cut focal point enhanced with ribbon.

This set of cards are not layered, but simply uses the window frame cut out with a Stitched Shapes  (141708) square and mounted on a coordinating colour - Fresh Fig which coordinates with the stamping.

Burlap Ribbon (141487) is cut on the angle and adhered behind the focal piece...see the stitching, looks great!

Silver Natural Trim (141485) Ribbon is snaked behind this piece, again cut out with Stitched Shapes to get that stitched look...

The candles are backed with Daffodil Delight before being mounted on the Denim Dapper mat.  Gold Metallic thread is put behind.

Stampin' Up! Butterflies

To showcase Stampin' Up! new 2017-19 In colours, I decided to make a picture frame like so many I've seen on pinterest.  The layout is another KISS (Keep It Simple Sweetheart) but two layers - a base card and mat of the same colour, to give it depth, not really caught by my photos...

The colours above are (left to right) Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, and below Fresh Fig, Berry Burst and Powder Pink...

The idea came from Pinterest, Mary Brown but I mixed it up a little, using the stitched shapes and vellum.
From one layer of the butterflies to two and mixing up the matting....

The window is cut out in Whisper White using the Layering Squares Framelits (141708) and mounted on cardstock (also cut out with the layering Squares Framelits) which is the same as the base card.

The Whisper White mat is embossed with Stampin' Up! Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (141468).  I adhered a thin piece of Gold Glimmer paper (133719) behind the candle flames and added coordinating Gold Metallic Thread (138401)

The same idea, just a different die and angling the mat  behind the feature window.  The Whisper White base mat is embossed with Stampin' Up! Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (143710).

Fresh Fig is the card base and piece behind the random dots of the Window Box die...

Stampin' Up! Detailed Dragonfly

Stampin' Up! In colours are trendy, in fashion and five change each year.  To show case the five 2016-18 colours for catalogue launch, I decided to employ four die sets - the Detailed Dragonfly (142749), the Stitched Shapes (145372), Laying Squares (141708)  and Flourish Thinlits (141478) for the leaf.

Peek-a-boo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum above, left to right; Emerald Envy and Denim Dapper below...

Two tone with Berry Bliss and Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper Shite highlights...

By mounting one colour on top of another and slightly offsetting the two, the die cuts really pop!
