Stampin' Up! Sunburst

I love Stampin' Up! new Sunburst thinlit die.  Today I'm using it in its entirety as a background feature for my cards.  I'm using a combination of card stock to coordinate with colours in my chosen Designer Series Paper (DSP)...

The centre features a bouquet of balloons created using the balloon punch and the greeting is from the Stampin' Up! set Build a Birthday.

The centre features a greeting from Rose Wonder and kisses and hugs from the Circle Card thinlits die set.

 My camera threw and odd colour for the Calypso Coral, but that is Calypso Coral!

These were created using the mirror image of each starburst die cut - I kept the fall out pieces when I die cut the DSP and the cardstock and cross matched them...

The cardstock die cut is on the left and the DSP die cut is on the right, then the cut out pieces glued back to create the two effects....and no wasted pieces of paper!

I did have so much fun playing with these - stay posted as I will play with these in the NEW DSP...

Today is another post featuring the Rose Wonder Stamp set. This post showcases a very simple, one layer card dressed in different colours to make up a set as a thank you for a friend...

From Lost Lagoon stamped in Island Indigo (leaves with a hint of water colouring) to Pink Pirouette stamped in  Melon Mambo, I water coloured the rose just a little...

The card is a simple one layer card, the image of the Rose from Rose Wonder, stamped directly on the base card.  The greeting was also stamped directly onto the base card using the same coordinating ink colour.  It is such a quick and easy way to create a coordinating set, and coupled with a versatile stamp set like Perfectly Penned, you really cannot go wrong - I love it.

Stampin' Up! Rose Garden & Rose Wonder water coloured

Rose Wonder coupled with Rose Garden by Stampin' Up! has been my stamp of the week with me not being able to put the aqua pen down! but for something a little different - using the die cut out for a new look... First Rose Christian - a stunning watercolour and card presentation...

Rose used Blackberry bliss and Elegant Eggplant ink to create the colours in her beautiful creation and mounted the water colour on Elegant Plant but used Blackberry Bliss die cut for the Rose and Wisteria Wonder for the frame.  LOVE IT ! ! !

Leanne's card has the water colour image mounted onto Mossy Meadow and the Rose Red die cut mounted on top of the water coloured image.  This was stunning...the colours were amazing

OK I cheated on this one, I spritzed it first then went over it with the aqua pen - colours Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie...

Love these creations and have an itch in your fingers to water colour again - it is so easy,
ink up your stamp in desired colours - we used markers to do this
stamp your image on Stampin Up! water colour paper
run over the image within the lines with an aqua pen - half filled with water.
use the marker or ink pad to add ink to an acrylic block and use this as your "paint" to enhance colour
use the aqua pen to pick up ink from the acrylic block and layer your image, concentrating on where the darker areas or shadows would be.  Use scribble motions to that there are no definite lines
finally add you detail with coordinating markers again use sketchy rough lines, not precise one line outlines.
