Stampin' Up! Paper Shaping / Paper Sculpting

Paper shaping or paper sculpting is a beautiful way to add dimension to your card.  Cecile Ortiz has mastered the technique like no one else I've ever seen.  It is from her inspirational creations that my class attendees continue to ask to have another workshop with paper shaping.  Enjoy these two beautiful creations...

Rose continues to excel with her creations; this is stunning with the Blended Bloom flower coloured with Rich Razzleberry blendabilities then fussy cut and layered. She has created beautiful dimension to this very beautiful flower image...

Paper shaping is very easy to do but a technique that needs to be practiced to master.  Along with shading techniques with your choice of colouring tool, coupled together, you can create the most amazing cards anyone would be proud to receive.

Blendabilities Stampin' Up! "Vivid Vases"

I love the simplicity and versatility of Stampin' Up! Vivid Vases.  I chose this set to demonstrate light, when colouring with Blendabilities.  A very basic layout focuses the eye on the image and depth of colour - this was my first attempt at colouring...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! "Vivid Vases" on Rich Razzleberry
I decided to add more colour, after all the stamp is called Vivid Vases!

I added another layer, dry embossed with Decorative Dots Embossing Folder 133520 and layered the card on Melon Mambo.  The card is finished off with colour coordinating ribbon to bring forth the yellow vase and the Old Olive green on the leaves and matting.

Blendabilities Stampin' Up! "I Like You"

Welcome back to 2015 and new year of crafting. It has been quite awhile since I have posted on my blog, as I've been busy being a Mum playing, going on adventures and getting Ben ready for School.  Ben has settled nicely into prep and I am very grateful to the school for their place in that transition.

So back to crafting, classes have commenced so please check my events calendar on facebook or click above on workshops and classes.

The year has commenced with my love of colouring, and the wonderful hostess stamp, "I Like You" It is worth hosting a workshop just to be given the opportunity to purchase this gorgeous set.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! "I Like You"
I created this card on a Pink Pirouette base with Melon Mambo highlights and the greeting surrounded by the flowers coloured with Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo Blendabilities.

I then became adventurous and added Crumb Cake to the colour scheme with DSP and the base card.  I added a paper doily under the greeting on a layered banner to soften the sharpness of the card.

I am looking forward to giving this card to my Mother-in-law for her Birthday this weekend, I do hope she likes it.

And a creation from a gorgeous customer at PLR...

I hope to see you again soon,

2014 Christmas Stampin' Up! Partridge and Pears

and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.... now Stampin' Up! have the stamp set to go with it "Partridge and Pears" WM133854/CM133857.  If you love to colour in then you will surely love this one...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! "Partridge and Pears" coloured with Blendabilities
For these cards I simply stamped the image in Momento, Black Tuxedo Black 132708, on Whisper White card stock and coloured them in with Stampin' Up! Blendabilities in Old Olive and Daffodil Delight, with a highlight of darker colour where I wanted the appearance of a shadow.  I cut these down with the trimmer and mounted them onto DSP which I then mounted onto the contrasting backing card.  I then added the greeting and embellishments.

From a background of DSP to that of white, Whisper White and just let the stamp speak for itself...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! "Partridge and Pears" coloured with Blendabilities
Different greeting, different pear placement, but same layout...

A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! "Partridge and Pears" coloured with Blendabilities
For these cards I simply stamped the image in Momento, Black Tuxedo Black 132708, and coloured it with Stampin' Up! Blendabilities in Old Olive and Daffodil Delight, with a highlight of darker colour where I wanted the appearance of a shadow.  I then cut the tree out and mounted it onto the pre embossed (Delicate Designs 127023) pre stamped Whisper White card.  The tree's berries/young pear fruits were highlighted with Gold Glitz 133755.

So easy and just a little different for a Christmas card I think.  I have really enjoyed making these.

2014 Christmas Stampin' Up! Simply Pressed Clay, Christmas tree ornament 2

This post features the fun Benjamin had with the clay by Stampin' Up! Simply Pressed Clay.  These are all of the ornaments we created out of ONE packet of Clay - less than $1.00 per ornament AUS and not to mention the fun we had and the passing of a couple of hours!...
2014 Christmas Stampin' Up! Simply Pressed Clay, Christmas tree ornaments
Ben made worms, snakes, caterpillar, a snail, birds and much more before he made his ornaments for his friends...First he stamped and stamped and stamped, then he discovered fingerprints...
2014 Christmas Stampin' Up! Simply Pressed Clay, Christmas tree ornament
We used ink on his thumb and then finger straight from the reinker and stamped his thumb then finger gently into the clay... Ben wanted to add the features and did so with the Blendabilities and a pencil - hence the holes...
2014 Christmas Stampin' Up! Simply Pressed Clay, Christmas tree ornament
And I had to take a photo with the two he started with, bottom far left and right hand sides.  These he felt weren't as fun as his second attempt of multiple stamping and inking, then as I said he discovered finger prints and Ben wants to make up a heap of these now LOL.

Enjoy and I look forward to seeing you at tomorrow's post.
