2016 Christmas Stampin' Up! Delicate Ornaments Thinlit 2

Today is a show case of beautiful cards created in class using Stampin' Up! Delicate Ornaments thinlit dies, in this case the circular bauble.  These creations were by the A Crafty Cat team - love them :-)

I love Smokey Slate as the base and then baubles featured in Blushing Bride Glimmer paper and Silver foil on Silver foil and Night of Navy respectively on these cards...

2016 Christmas Stampin' Up! Upright Z Fold

This card fold - Reverse Easel Fold was featured last year and requested again for classes this year.  It is a beautiful fold we used to show case the Delicate Ornament thinlit dies along with the Pretty Pines thinlits.  The marriage is purrfect!

The "Upright Z Fold" was found on pinterest and led to Jan's Creative Corner.  It is a fold that can be dressed so many ways; my A Crafty Cat team LOVES it.

2016 Christmas Stampin' Up! Faux Patina

Welcome to another Christmas card post where we step up the card with a technique call Faux Patina.  

I have showcased this technique before and thought it nice to try for Christmas.

The card base is Soft Suede and the featured Faux Patina piece was created on Very Vanilla, embossed with Holly and  sponged over with Crumb Cake, Tip Top Taupe and a touch of Real Red and Old Olive.

2016 Christmas Stampin' Up! DSP & Pretty Pines thinlit dies

Do you have wide strips of DSP and coordinating cardstock? This post may hold the answer for you!   I had a random pile of 2" and larger strips of DSP and cardstock and 1/8" strips of glimmer paper, DSP and foil.  This is what I did with them...

On a base card I placed the DSP on the bottom half, coordinating card stock on the top half - where they overlapped or met, or not quite met, a great cover :-) and highlighting strip!

I then stamped my sentiment and added snow flakes from the set Flurry of Wishes...

I think they look great and I used up a heap of scrap papers cutting out leaves, pine cones, bows etc.

2016 Christmas Delicate Ornament Thinlits

How the year has flown...and here we the first day of December, making Christmas Cards for loved ones reminding them we think of them often and catching them up with the yearly news.  To start the month off I decided to start off nice and easy KISS (keep it simple sweetheart) - things are pretty chaotic in this household.  This is a very simple layout but stunning to say the least and fantastic to make up as a box set.

From Sarah Sand to Daffodil Delight base card stocks...

  Smokey Slate and silver foil look so stunning with the red glimmer paper!

Soft Sky for a simply stunning effect...

Soft Sky trimmed with Silver glimmer paper and foil to the right...

The card is simply created using a card base,
a strip of whisper white (2" high) on which you stamp your greeting in a coordinating colour
Optional - coordinating strips to go above and below Whisper white
Die cut baubles from the Delicate Ornament thinlits set x Stampin' Up!
coordinating foil/cardstock circle punched out to match bauble size
Coordinating top for bauble
Coordinating ribbon of choice
Adhere the Whisper white to the card base and then the coordinating strips with Tombo.
Adhere the Bauble and circle and then the bauble top using the fine tip glue
Using a Dimensional adhere the bauble to the card
Tie your bow and using glue dots adhere bow to bauble.

I do love highlighting card folds and this Z fold Easel card was so much fun to decorate and teach in class. These are my creations...Mossy Meadow, the greeting as the stop..
