Faux Patina x Heather Payne

Heather is a very talented card maker and paper crafter as I am sure you will agree after seeing this amazing card creation. Using her faux patina sample pieces and the camera from Stampin' Up! Traveler stamp set, this is her creation...
Acraftycat: Faux Patina x Heater Payne, Traveler, World Map
On Daffodil Delight cardstock Heather stamped in soft sued the world Map background stamp by Stampin' Up! This was wrapped in crumb cake seam binding (sponged with soft sued) and black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, and then mounted on Soft Sued cardstock which had its edges sponged.  Heather the mounted her faux patina sample onto black  and placed the camera on black (to give a shadow) and finished it of with a greeting on Whisper White.

The camera was stamped on Very Vanilla in Stayzon and coloured in basic grey and Burnt sugar, the lens left to capture the light of the card.  The photo below captures the beautiful gold powder embossing on the dry embossed background.

The card was finished off with three basic black candy dots - totally stunning...

Stampin' Up! Traveler & World Map - Macsuline Birthday card

Happy Birthday Dad! Male cards can be a challenge but if you own the Traveler WM134510/CM134513 stamp set released by Stampin' Up! then you are pretty well covered.  Coupled with the World Map WM130342/CM130345 background stamp, the two complement each other purrrfectly.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! "Traveler"
I used chocolate chip to stamp and distress with, the gold washi tape (watercolour wonder 133000) is more of an antique colour and works purrrfectly with the gold twine 132976.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! "Traveler"
I fussy cut the globe out and lifted it over the twine and washi tape with Dimensionals...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! "Traveler"
I knotted the twine around it self to add a little more male character...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! "Traveler"
The greeting is from the must have word stamp set "And Many More" WM134273/CM134276.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Traveler
So with a bit of layering, some washi tape and string, and a couple of vintage, masculine stamp sets, you too can create a very nice masculine card.  If you would like any of the products used; WM is the means Wood Mount, then the code is listed with which to purchase the products from my online store. CM is the Clear block Mount then code.

2014 Catalogue Launch - Masculine Cards

Masculine cards are often said "hard to make" but my A Crafty Cat team made easy work of it when we implemented Stampin' Up! earthy/vintage colours, a large Stampin' Up! background stamp and a focus window.

Many of the girls who attended this workshop, which was held in Waterford, Logan, by Kathryn Free a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and a member of the A Crafty Cat team, were first timers to stamping.

This is their creations...

Father's Day 2014

I believe Father's Day is a day to recognise Dad's contributions to the family and say thank you.  My team of A Crafty Cats came over for an afternoon and this is what they created given a background stamp, feature stamp focused in a window created with the use of the label die from the label die collection and the label die from the label swing card.

This card use Stampin' Up World Map (WM130342/CM130345) for the background and the camera from Stampin' Up! Traveler (WM134510/CM134513)...

A Crafty Cat - workshop attendee - Stampin' Up! World Map & Traveler on Chocolate Chip, stamped in Pacific Point & Chocolate Chip.
Some crafters added extras - these crustaceans are from the Stampin' Up! set Sea Street (WM133985/133988) with a hint of blue sponging around the punch out...

This creator used the duck/goose from Stamping' Up! Wetlands (WM126695/CM126697) on soft suede card stock...
