Stampin' Up! Emboss Resist & Brayering

Stampin' Up! have foam brayers (141714) in the 2017-18 annual catalogue and they are soooo much fun!  I coupled this with the Colour Me: Irresistibly Floral Specialty DSP (Designer Series Paper) in the Sale-a-bration brochure to simply demonstrate the brayering technique.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Brayering technique - May Flower Framelits
The Irresistibly Floral paper is Whisper White card stock that is pre-embossed clear, so the paper appears white with a glossy pattern.... gorgeous... and then can can brayer over it in any desired colour to reveal the pattern...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Brayering technique
Simply ink your brayer up by running the foam roller over and over an ink pad and then roll your brayer over the paper....
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Brayering technique
It is a stunning technique and so many effects can be created!...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Brayering technique - Sunshine Wishes Thinlits
Brayering can change the look of a card, enhancing colour depth when added to card stock or can reveal a beautifully embossed pattern that you've created or Stampin' Up! has created.  When coupled with coordinating paper and ribbon or other embellishments, the combination is nothing short of stunning...

Stampin' Up! Up and Away

Hello A Crafty Cat followers
Thank you for stopping by, I have a wonderful card to share with you today!

I love  the thinlit die Up and Away released by Stampin' Up! The thinlits alone are wonderful to create with and when combined with a slide easel card fold - all the more fun!  I created the two cards below for class...

A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Up and Away thinlits

The card fold was cased from Sharon Burkurt  at as the ink dries,

The card is basically a flat matted base and a second slightly smaller flat feature piece that is adhered to a  belly band which slides up and down. Birthday Banners coupled with Bunch of Banners Framelits create a lovely ribbon for the greeting...

The A Crafty Cat team created such beautiful cards and were proud of the sliding of their creations - from a flat card to an easel card...Just LOVE IT.  I look forward to your company at the next post.

Stampin' Up! Tag Cards

I've been having a little play with tags on cards and embellishing these tags with Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP), embossing folders, ribbons, stamps and dies... First a rose ( Stampin' Up! Rose Garden thinlit dies) in neutral colours of Crumb Cake and Early Expresso...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Tag Cards

The card is simply the base card with a 2" strip of coordinating DSP with a dressed tag mounted onto the base card and the greeting placed...somewhere!  This one has a little more colour and a butterfly (Butterflies thinlit dies) die cut out of Calypso Coral Stampin' Up! cardstock.  A bit of sponging on the tag edges and this one is my favourite of all the creations today.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Tag Cards

Calypso Coral and Old Olive - gorgeous colour combo...

Blues, Greens and Oranges with black accents...and of course that butterfly!

I love versatile layouts and what a great way to use up any 2" strips of  DSP you may have left over from other projects and the little snippets to embellish the tags.  Quick, easy layout and very rewarding.

Stampin' Up! Botanical Blooms by three

Keep it Simple Sweetheart (KISS) was the theme of my catalogue launch to ensure my attendees got a taste of a number of Stampin' Up! products.  This is a lovely card, simple one layer using three double nested flowers cut from the Stampin' Up! Botanical Blooms die set and a faux frame created by simply drawing with a Stampin' Up! marker, around a piece of cardstock.  This A Crafty Cat got a little bit fancy with a stop and a start and a couple of dots...LOVE IT...

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You

When I first saw the stamp set Remarkable You, Stampin' Up! I knew just how I wanted to use it - a background stamped in a paler colour Mint Macaroon) and the outline image stamped in a colour to match a matting frame of the same colour...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Remarkable You

On a Whisper White face cut 1/4 of an inch smaller than the base card, I stamped the background stamp in Mint Macaroon or Crumb Cake or Tip Top Taupe.  I then stamped the image and Greeting in a coordinating colour - Crushed Curry, Cucumber Crush or Garden Green...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Remarkable You
The Whisper White face was then adhered (Sticky Strip)  to the mat, the mat then adhered to the Whisper White base card...

Stampin' Up! Gift Tags

Sale-a-bration is a great time for me to take the time to make some tags of Thank you.  For ladies who attended class and placed orders, I created thank you tags with ribbon, to wrap around their SAB items  - all a little different, each a one off...

A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Flower Shop & Stampin' Up! Another Thank You.
All put together the SAB gift looked like this... Blushing Bride card stock stamped in Real Red.
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Flower Shop & Stampin' Up! Another Thank You.
Smoky Slate card stock stamped with Real Red...
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Flower Shop & Stampin' Up! Another Thank You.
Pool Party card stock stamped in Tempting Turquoise
A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Remarkable You & Stampin' Up! Cottage Greetings.

Tags are easy to create and look great as a small gesture of appreciation.
To create these tags I simply cut out a 2 inch strip of Stampin' Up! Card stock, 4 inches in length and used Stampin' Up! Tag punches to sculpture the tag end.
I then stamped the card stock with a coordinating colour and then stamped the greeting to match.
Too easy ;-)

Stampin' Up! Card Kits - Cottage Greetings

Stampin' Up! Cottage Garden Card Kit is by far my favourite card this thus far, with wood veneer and silver foil, this is not only smart, but so easy to put together and you can mix and match if you so desire.  Last week I had a few moments to play and this is the creations I made with this kit.
Acraftycat: Stampin' Up! Cottage Garden Card Kit
This is the first card I created, silver foil scallops on gloss white card stock, gorgeous wood veneer and the printed flower wreath, all I did was assemble, stamp and add the  bling!

Acraftycat: Stampin' Up! Cottage Garden Card Kit
This is the second card I created, silver foil dots on gloss Mint Macaron card stock, gorgeous wood veneer and the printed flowers, with a tie to twine and a little assembly and a stamp, how lovely is this!
Acraftycat: Stampin' Up! Cottage Garden Card Kit
This is the third card I created, silver foil diagonal striped on gloss White and Delightful Dijon card stock, gorgeous wood veneer and the printed flowers set on the silver foil, with a stamp, some bling after assembly - this is the result!

Acraftycat: Stampin' Up! Cottage Garden Card Kit
Yes I'm very happy with these three cards, really like them and although I used only kit supplies in these creations, I cannot wait to use a little improvisation - as I do!

What a great kit and I would be very happy to get one in for you, or remember you can order online 24/7.

Stampin' Up! Sprinkles of Life

"Sprinkles of Life" is a photopolymer stamp set released by Stampin' Up! When purchased from your demonstrator, Stampin' Up! donate $3.00 per sale to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.  I think the Sprinkles of Life stamp set is the BEST RMHC stamp set yet and when coordinated with the "Tree Builder" 138295 punch, the possibilities for creation are many.  This is just one layout my customers created in a workshop held on Saturday...

A Crafty Cat: Sprinkles of Life x Stampin' Up! - just gorgeous
The tree trunk from the Tree Builder punch can be used as a tree trunk as shown below or branch, as shown above!

The banners set behind the 2 1/2" circle were created with the 2" and 1 1/2" Banner Triple punch 138292 using DSP from the neutrals and brights paper stacks...
A Crafty Cat: Sprinkles of Life x Stampin' Up!
The greetings were taken from the stamp set "Cottage Greetings" WM138940/CM139962.

A Crafty Cat: Sprinkles of Life x Stampin' Up!
We used Stampin' Up! markers to colour the stamp set and create our own individual centre pieces...
A Crafty Cat: Sprinkles of Life x Stampin' Up! created Leanne
There is an apple, flower and bird as tree accessories on the tree builder punch...

A Crafty Cat: Sprinkles of Life x Stampin' Up! created Hope
I love the colourful flowers stamped on this one - made for her wonderful husband.

I enjoyed this workshop greatly and hope you enjoyed viewing the creations of each attendee.  It is thanks to Rachel that you are viewing these lovely creations - thanks Rach for taking the photos.
